Anthony Joshua Discharged from Hospital in Lagos Following Fatal Car Crash
The British boxer Anthony Joshua has been discharged from hospital, local government spokespeople confirmed on late Wednesday. The athlete was part of a serious road collision outside Lagos on Monday, a horrific crash that claimed the lives of two of his valued colleagues.
Recovering from Minor Injuries
Joshua had been receiving medical attention while recovering from minor injuries, representatives had said on Monday. A government official, Gbenga Omotoso, said in a statement on X that Joshua was declared medically stable to continue his recovery at home.
“Joshua and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to offer their condolences to his two deceased friends as they were being made ready for the journey back,” the official remarked.
Honoring the Deceased
The victims of the crash were identified as Latif Ayodele, Joshua's trainer, and Sina Ghami, a conditioning specialist. It was also noted that the athlete was heartbroken and full of emotions over the passing of his two dear friends.”
