Homages Pour In for the Reiners as Autopsy Reports Are Sealed.

More than two weeks subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of celebrated filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, friends and colleagues persist in remembering the couple.

A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Recalls His Director

Sharing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's beloved 1987 film *The Princess Bride*, stated he only now felt ready to express about his personal sorrow.

"Adequate time has elapsed that I can at last express my sorrow into words," wrote Elwes, saying that his initial encounter with Reiner left him smitten. "When we commenced sharing more moments together I knew this was someone I wanted in my life."

The actor posted behind-the-scenes footage from the movie, remarking that he cannot recall "a single day without laughter".

"The movie is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Things that Rob held dear. This is one of the many reasons he was the perfect person to direct it," Elwes wrote.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, stating: "To say that they were a formidable pair would be an understatement. My heart still hurts every time I remember you." He finished with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Remembers a Fellow Artist

In a separate tribute, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"Right away, I loved spending time with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was uproarious and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's acting part in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the main character.

"He could improvise with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked wonderfully with his co-stars, and he grasped the human predicament of his character," Scorsese noted.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Restricted

Recently, a Los Angeles court official agreed to bar the publication of the Reiners' autopsy reports, following a petition from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A court order put a security hold on the investigation to prohibit the public release of "related notes, notes, reports or photos" associated with the active case.

The coroner's office had earlier stated their deaths were the outcome of homicide, with a public database citing the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".

Aftermath and Reactions

In the wake of the tragedy, public personalities offered different comments.

Former President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, offering divisive remarks that were met with immediate backlash by many public figures.

Podcaster Joe Rogan lent his perspective to the critics last week. Speaking on his podcast, Rogan described the statements as "disturbing" and suggested they demonstrated a troubling deficiency of sympathy.

Rogan concluded by suggesting that an associate could have acted when the decision to speak on the passing was made.
