Larry Summers Steps Down from AI Company's Directors
Former US treasury secretary the Harvard professor is departing from the directorate at the ChatGPT creator, just several days after a batch of electronic messages between him and deceased financier Jeffrey Epstein became public.
Summers remarked in an announcement that he was "thankful for the opportunity to have contributed, enthusiastic about the promise of the company, and anticipate tracking their development".
The prominent academic, who formerly led the prestigious university, declared on recently that he would be scaling back from public roles due to his relationship with Epstein.

The recently released communications demonstrated that Summers exchanged messages with the financier until the day before the financier's 2019 apprehension for alleged sex trafficking of minors.
In a separate statement, the technology organization said it respected Summers' determination to step down.

After the emails were made available with the wider community, he said he accepted "full responsibility for my poor judgment to continue corresponding with Mr Epstein".
