The former president's Granddaughter Gets Expert Tips from Golf Legend Woods Ahead of LPGA Debut
The rising star maintains considerable social media following
The young golfer can count on numerous prominent backers as she makes her LPGA debut on Thursday.
This teenage golfer, who is the granddaughter of a former US president, obtained a special exemption to play at Florida's Annika event in Florida.
The former president, an avid golfer, owns numerous international courses and regularly plays against Kai.
"He's fairly competent. I can't reveal details but we have some close matches," she revealed.
Kai explained that Trump, who cannot attend, counseled her: "Just avoid anxiety."
"My grandpa basically suggested to compete and have fun," she explained.
"In my eyes, he's just a regular grandfather. He won't be there this weekend. He's focused on presidential duties, so he's somewhat preoccupied."
While still amateur, the golfer has played in only three events in 2024 and has position 461 in AJGA standings.
But she can get advice from 15-time major champion, in a relationship with Vanessa.
"He represents the top athlete globally," Kai stated.
"Additionally, he's a superior human being. He told me to go out there, relax, adapting to the flow."
The golfer will compete against several most prominent players in professional golf at the Annika, such as second-ranked the champion, England's Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
Officials mentioned that Kai's presence exposes the sport to new audiences, specifically reaching the next generation.
The young star has substantial online presence and just introduced an exclusive clothing and lifestyle brand.
Her first tee time at 5:30 PM GMT.
