Your Ideal Pocket Monster Legends: Z-A Super Form Based on the Astrological Sign

The return of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has ignited widespread enthusiasm across the community. From the gradual reveal of newcomers before the title's launch, to trainers developing firm opinions on the entire lineup of new Megas, there's a lot for enthusiasts to look forward to.

With numerous of the Mega Evolutions showcasing unique designs that highlight their traits, one thought naturally: What's the best way to link this with zodiac signs? This list is inspired by a mix of intuition, sign stereotypes, and individual observations.

The Ram – Super Camerupt

Honestly, Houndoom was nearly chosen for Aries, as they are the Mega Pokémon and astrological sign that evoke the greatest apprehension. However, a Mega Houndoom appears as constantly angry, which isn't typical of the Ram's energy, known for being fun, light-hearted, and impulsive. That's why the Ram far more akin to Super Camerupt, which only erupts when angered. Remain on the friendly side of either and enjoy a powerful ally; if you cross them, prepare to get burned.

Taurus – Mega Heracross

Similar to a loyal Bull, the reliable Heracross, whether in its standard and Mega form, has aided many players in Legends: Z-A. Though dependable, both the Pokémon and a Taurus are also battle-oriented, and – be it their companion or a strong opinion – will stand up for their position to the end. The thing about Super Heracross that recalls most of my Taurus friends, however, is its unabashed passion for snacks. Many previous official descriptions note their fondness for tasty tree sap and how it employs its horn to hoard it everything, which is true Taurus energy.

The Twins – Super Medicham

Look at this total queen. It's impossible to tell me this Pokémon is not the soul of every party, providing an endless stream of chatter to those who wish to listen. Much like an enrapturing, gregarious Twins, it's incredibly easy to envision Mega Medicham mesmerizing an whole Wild Zone with their stories. This Pokémon's Pokédex entry also states its capacity to predict an enemy’s future actions, which seems very similar to a socially-savvy Twins.

The Crab – Mega Manectric

The Crab is widely regarded as the most sensitive sign of the zodiac, a passionate sign famous for often getting wrapped up in their feelings. Per the Pokédex, Mega Evolution fills the Pokémon with a “huge amount of electricity, but it's excessive for this Pokémon to completely control,” which seems a lot like a classic Crab crash-out. This Pokémon is also known for its capability to create a storm cloud over its very self – and if there’s a single trait a Cancer is going to do, it’s rain on their good time.

Leo – Mega Starmie

Well, did you assume I was going to select Pyroar for the lion of the zodiac? Aside from the fact that it would be much too on the nose, The Lion is obviously Super Starmie, the star whose legs just became an internet sensation for being extremely fabulous (or terrifying, based on your taste). Fans were captivated from the violet sea star, and that’s precisely the identical energy a Lion offers to the scene. This Pokémon is also rumored to be transmitting signals from its center out into space, and it’s just like a Leo to be staging a performance, albeit for extraterrestrials.

Virgo – Super Victreebel

The ever-prepared and constantly-worried Maiden is perfectly represented in Mega Victreebel, the Mega with constant digestive issues. The sign known for being charmingly critical is clearly reflected across this creature's whole evolutionary chain, from a perpetually surprised expression like a Maiden when you tell them you don’t have a retirement plan, to its upside-down visage that’s similar to the symbol a Virgo sends to the group chat when everyone says they want to “be spontaneous” instead of creating a strategy.

Libra – Mega Audino

Observe this gentle, empathetic creature, who employs the sensors on its auditory organs to tell how people are emotionally by their heartbeat. Consistently empathetic – occasionally to a detriment – and trying to maintain the harmony, there are numerous Scales who would likely appreciate Super Audino's abilities. However, to be frank, it would likely just cause them to worry even more about everyone else.

Scorpio – Mega Banette

This Ghost-type is a Pokémon with a surprisingly sad origin: Discarded as a doll, it gained sentient through sheer resentment and vowed revenge on its previous caretaker. Per the official info, Super Evolution, “increases its vindictiveness.” That seems exactly like several discussions I’ve had with my intense Scorpion friends. A Scorpio adores cosmic justice and comeuppance, making them the ideal pair with Super Banette.

Sagittarius – Super Hawlucha

Both Super Hawlucha and Archers are always putting on a show. Being a Archer personally, the number of occasions I’ve called myself some variation of a “silly little entertainer” is countless. The showiest and most obnoxious Mega Evolution, its description even notes how it “flexes to show off its strength.” I would do the exact same thing if I had a Super Form, making Super Hawlucha the most apt Sagittarius match I can think of.

Capricorn – Super Absol

Did you know that a Mega Absol has the power to predict disasters in advance? That gives the exact same energy as a Goat, who often always think they’re correct. Interestingly, similar to a prophetic Mega Absol, they frequently are. It’s also the absolute initial Mega Evolution that trainers encounter in Legends: Z-A – just like a Goat to join the ground floor of the Super Form craze.

Aquarius – Mega Chandelure

Detached element Aquarius is possibly the non-fire placement that is closest to a flame symbol – its counterpart is the Lion, and there are countless memes about the Archer and Aquarius being unpredictable accomplices. Super Chandelure's dual Spirit/Flame category fits seamlessly with this, and the Super Form's general daunting aura is also very Water Bearer. If you hadn't yet convinced, the Super Form's Pokédex entry says it “absorbs hatred and transforms it into power.” If that doesn’t exactly {encaps
